Diversity and Inclusion Committee

We strive to welcome residents and faculty from different cultures, ethnic and spiritual backgrounds. The Diversity and Inclusion Committee is comprised of 10-12 residents and faculty members, who are involved in designing curricula on this very important concept affecting our nation at all levels. The aim of the committee is to educate residents and faculty members on health disparities and implicit bias that influences the care we deliver to our patients. With these educational sessions, we hope to bring awareness among our community of racial and implicit biases and the steps we can take to achieve health equity. These sessions include a safe and supportive platform for residents/faculty to share their personal opinions, stories and reflections.
