ECMC is a verified Level 1 Adult Trauma Center and a regional center for burn care, behavioral health services, transplantation, medical oncology and head & neck cancer care, and rehabilitation.
Case presentations span the range of disease states in internal medicine and general surgery, with many critically ill cases.
Inpatient experiences at this site include faculty-supervised general medical teams, where you will also work with interns and third- and fourth-year medical students.
This site also hosts a fast-paced emergency room where you may rotate and has a large continuity clinic, primarily driven by residents, with dedicated supervising faculty.
Ambulatory blocks here give you experience with HIV and preventive cardiology. Multiple specialty electives supervised by specialty faculty and fellows are also available.
