This 18-month lecture series provides an up-to-date understanding of the broad field of internal medicine.
Lectures within the various disciplines of internal medicine are given by faculty at one of the main hospital sites and video conferenced to the other sites.
The lectures are state-of-the-art presentations with reviews of physiology, pathophysiology, diagnosis, treatment and cutting edge/novel therapeutic options. A major focus of these lectures is also board review, incorporating live polling questions from board review sources such as MKSAP and MedStudy.
The goal is to present in didactic format a comprehensive review of major topics in internal medicine that prepare the resident for practice and licensing. The presentations will be recorded for later viewing by house staff who are unable to attend in person. Topics will be covered twice during the three-year program.
Every Tuesday and Friday from noon to 1 p.m. except for the last Friday of each module.
