Academic Half Day

Pediatric lecture series given by pediatric faculty members from general pediatrics, subspecialties and surgical specialties, which follow the ABP guidelines to give a well-rounded high level understanding of many of the important pediatric problems for practice as well as for our boards.

This lecture series is a 3-year longitudinal curriculum. All med-peds residents on a pediatric rotation are expected to attend and are given completely protected time from the floors in order to benefit most from the sessions. Within these sessions are also included our journal club, presented by the residents, as well as resident driven general pediatrics topics. There are also often guest speakers about various topics including financial planning, etc.

Included in these lecture series is an interactive pediatric workshop where we practice various simulation cases on a monthly basis.
