Other Resident Support

  • Our program offers residents additional employment benefits such as call rooms at our affiliated hospitals and access to university athletic and library facilities.

  • Lab Coats

    Two lab coats are provided to each resident/fellow at the start of employment. Additional coats may be purchased from the UB Office of Graduate Medical Education.

  • Prescription Name Stamp

    A prescription name stamp is provided to each resident/fellow if requested by their program at the start of employment. Replacement stamps may be purchased from the UB Office of Graduate Medical Education.

  • Resident/ Fellow Appointment

    All residents/fellows receive an appointment as a medical or dental resident/fellow that enables them to use all gym, library, computing and University facilities. In addition, residents/fellows may avail themselves of the UB Employee Assistance Program, a confidential assessment and referral service.

  • Life Support Training

    As part of orientation, Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) is provided. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ACLS) are mandatory for all residents. Reimbursement for certification may be requested from the resident’s education fund.   • Call Rooms

    UB affiliated hospitals provide call rooms as required for all residency/fellowship programs that provide in-house call coverage as an approved part of the residency/fellowship curriculum.

  • Education & Professional Development Fund
