Polity is the student government of the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. It governs 30+ student interest groups, as well as the student activities fee and the disbursement of these funds. It also provides funding and/or structure to free medical clinics, various committees and many school events.
Current medical students can request a Letter of Good Standing free of charge by emailing Kimberly Zosh at ksglover@buffalo.edu or coming into the Office of Student and Academic Affairs. The office will send the letter directly to an outside agency for you.
Current medical students can request transcripts free of charge by emailing Kimberly Zosh at ksglover@buffalo.edu or stopping in the Office of Student and Academic Affairs (suite 1200). The Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences will issue unofficial medical school transcripts to the student. Official transcripts cannot be distributed to the student, but the office will send official transcripts to outside agencies per the student’s request.
Students are required to complete three United States Medical Licensing Exams (USMLE) during medical school in order to graduate. These are the Step1, Step2-CK, and Step2-CS. Our students historically perform well on these examinations, with scores at or above the national average.
This fund is available to students who are experiencing an unexpected hardship that could impact their ability to remain enrolled in the Jacobs School.
