Each year, the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) administers the Matriculating Student Questionnaire (MSQ) to all first-year medical students.
“Each year the AAMC administers the Matriculating Student Questionnaire (MSQ) to all first-year medical students. The five sections of the questionnaire inquire about demographics, attitudes about medicine, the medical school application process, career interests, marital status and parental information, and educational debts and financing. The AAMC uses this information to plan the direction of medical education, assess the nation’s future physician supply, and monitor the policies on educational costs.
Although you will need your AAMC ID number to log in, your individual responses to the questionnaire will remain confidential, and reports derived from the questionnaires will not identify you personally unless you provide your consent for the purposes described at the beginning and end of the survey.”
Your unique survey link should have been sent from msq@aamc.org to the e-mail address you provided to AMCAS. If you have not yet received an invitation to participate in the MSQ, please contact msq@aamc.org.
