Enhance your imaging examination skills through our specialized neuroimaging elective and gain advanced knowledge of the basic science related to neuroimaging modalities, guided by our expert neuroimagers.

Comprehensive, Career-Focused Learning

Building on your required introductory neuroimaging rotation, you will delve deeper into the physics, anatomy and pathology underlying neuroimaging procedures and findings by participating in our robust didactic training, including a neuroimaging conference.

You will continue to learn from more experienced members of your care team, including the attending physician, as you discuss your impressions of imaging tests during daily rounds.

You will actively participate in special child neurology meetings at Women and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo that include neuroimaging reviews.

You also will review difficult inpatient cases weekly during neuroimaging rounds at Buffalo General Medical Center.

Caseload

Each day, working with our expert neuroimagers and neuroimaging fellows, you will typically review 40 to 50 neuroradiological studies, mostly brain and spine MRI, but also CT scans.
