Interesting Cases and Grand Rounds

Deepen your understanding of areas ranging from sports medicine and pediatric orthopaedics to oncology and arthroplasty in our grand rounds and interesting case lectures.

We expect you to attend our grand rounds where attending faculty members — in conjunction with assigned senior residents  — deliver lectures covering areas within each orthopaedic subspecialty and rotation. Sessions are interactive; residents and faculty members provide input.

Our grand rounds sessions begin with presentations of interesting cases. Lectures focused on sports medicine topics follow. Next, we have grand rounds presentations on topics of general orthopedic interest.

You’ll prepare interesting cases in conjunction with your attending on service and present them as unknown cases in a question-and-answer format. Faculty — and several guest lecturers with expertise in sports medicine — present on sports medicine topics.

We discuss important learning issues and summarize them at the completion of the case presentation.

As a resident, you will participate in the sessions throughout all five years of training.
