FMD 899 Independent Study, 4 credits

Proposals for independent study must include a detailed written program description including goals and objectives, methods of study, faculty supervision, means of evaluation and educational rationale. Proposals must be accompanied by a letter of support from the faculty sponsor.

Academic credit will generally be contingent upon the completion of a written project.

All independent study programs must be approved by the course director prior to the start of the module.

Students must contact course director for permission prior to registering.

Students will not be enrolled in this course until a detailed written project has been identified, including goals and objectives, methods of study, and identifying the department of family medicine supervising faculty members who agreed to oversee the project. Students then send the entire project proposals to Dr. Symons for approval to be enrolled in this course
