Student Letters

Current medical students can request student letters to support various student applications and activities.

Applicant for Senior Away Elective Letter

This letter is prepared to support your VSLO/VSAS away elective application (only if required by away institution with established affiliations agreements with the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences).

This letter will also attest to you having completed or will complete all required third-year clerkships, completion of the NYS required infection control course and having completed HIPAA, OSHA and universal precautions training. Liability insurance information and health insurance coverage from our school is also noted on the letter.

Degree Completion Letter

If you have completed all degree requirements, all final grades have been posted to your student record and are waiting until the degree conferral date of June 1st to receive your MD degree, you may request and receive a letter indicating that all requirements have been completed.

*Letter is prepared by the JSMBS Registrar.

Enrollment Verification Letter

An enrollment verification letter verifies a student's enrollment status. Unlike a transcript, enrollment verification simply confirms a student's registration for the current semester.

Graduating Senior Letter

This letter certifies that you are an active matriculated student in the MD program with listing of your official MD program start date, anticipated degree completion and conferral date.

Letter of Good Standing

A letter of good standing reports that you have successfully completed all medical school requirements thus far and have no failures, incompletes and not in any process of remediation.
