This handbook pertains to the Doctor of Medicine program at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, University at Buffalo. This handbook contains important information about various policies, procedures and resources that will guide you on your Medical School journey. 

Many of the policies in this handbook supplement other existing policies.

Grading and Assessment

The Curriculum Committee shall determine grading policy of the Phase 1 and Phase 2 courses. The criteria for grading at each level shall be applied uniformly within each course. The Grading Scale, requirements for Latin Honors, and procedures for remediation are contained within the Course Book.
