Community Medicine

Our rotation in community medicine introduces you to the variety of medical and social services available to patients within the community.

During your first year of residency, you’ll spend two days at a community occupational medicine clinic and a half day at the Center for Hospice and Palliative Care.

The rest of the week you’ll explore different health and social service organizations, seeing not only how these agencies operate within the health care system, but how they can benefit your patients and enhance the care you deliver.

During your second and third years of residency, you’ll spend six four-hour blocks engaged in community medicine service with an agency of your choice.
