You’ll learn about invasive and noninvasive imaging techniques during your radiology rotation, as well as the specialty’s therapeutic modalities.

Your radiology rotation equips you to interpret reports and develop care plans that attend to your patients’ needs.

You’ll become adept at recognizing the indications for nuclear imaging, CAT scans and MRIs as well as preparing patients for these tests.

This experience will have you more confidently reading films and consulting with radiologists on your family medicine inpatient service.

Techniques Learned

You’ll learn how to:

  • read plain films of the chest, abdomen and extremities
  • recognize indications and understand preparation for nuclear imaging, CT scan and MRI
  • diagnose fractures on X-ray
  • interpret tests and follow up
